By day, a bunch of olive branches in a vase  leaves, bark, small dark olives, the kind of greenery that suits a room without trying. After dark, the branches fill with warm light. Micro-LEDs run along the stems and sit under the leaves, so the glow comes from inside the foliage rather than shining at you. Stand them in a vase, lay them on a mantel, and the corner changes.

Light that softens a room instead of lighting it up

The light is split across dozens of micro-LEDs spread along the length of every stem, then broken up by the leaves in front of them. What reaches the room is warm and scattered instead of sharp  closer to candlelight than to a lamp. It works on a console in an entryway, either side of a fireplace, on a dining table, or in the corner of a bedroom where a full lamp would be too much.

Leaves that make the light move

Every leaf sits at its own angle, and the LEDs are woven behind them rather than sitting on top. As you move past, leaves shift in and out of the light and the whole branch seems to shimmer  bright at the gaps, soft where a leaf covers a bulb. The bark texture and the small olives carry the illusion in daylight, when the lights are off and the branch has to hold up on its own.

Bendable stems and a built-in timer

Every stem holds a wire core, so you can open the branch out wide, draw it tall for a narrow vase, or lean it over a shelf edge  and it keeps the shape you give it. The built-in timer means you set it once: the branches come on for six hours, switch themselves off, and repeat it the next evening without you touching them. Run them on batteries for a spot with no socket, or from USB where there's one nearby.

Nothing to water, nothing to replace

No stems dropping leaves, no water going cloudy, nothing wilting after a week. These stay green in January and in July, in a dark hallway or a sunny window, and they take a dry cloth once in a while as their entire maintenance. Real olive branches would have dried out and gone brittle by the second month  these are still the same on the second year.
